The final 2018 concert of the Sydney University Graduate Choir features the Sydney University Graduate Chamber Choir performing Rossini's exquisite Petite Messe Solennelle in its original instrumentation for two pianos and harmonium.

This instrumentation, reminiscent of elevated salon music, creates an unmistakeable timbre, while Rossini's typical rhythm provides the operatic flair to the Mass. Full of drama, colour and intensity, Rossini labelled this work not without irony, as petitie (little).

All this under the guidance of a skilled group of workshop leaders who specialize in choral music. Sing Out Sydney is returning for its third year to celebrate the joy of singing during Ausmusic Month.

The Magic Flute is a mysterious and wonderful tale, following four young people’s journeys as they discover their own strengths and weaknesses and pass the tests of true love. Its story of truth and light, friendship and forgiveness, told with enchanting music, continues to delight audiences all over the world

Bringing together two fabulous LGBTQI choirs, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir and Wellington Glamaphones, ‘Close Harmony’ is a celebration of the power of voice to promote acceptance, inclusion, harmony and community between people and nations.
